Clinical Sites
The Department of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine
is fully committed to the mission of providing a broad and comprehensive
range of clinical services to those needing mental health and substance
abuse treatments. The clinical activity also supports the additional missions
of training and educating students in the mental health discipline, and
carrying out the scholarly enterprise of seeking new knowledge that in
turn improves clinical care.
The Department provides inpatient, ambulatory and emergency psychiatric
and substance abuse services through several facilities: APT Foundation;
Connecticut Mental Health Center; Yale-New Haven Hospital; Yale Psychiatric
Institute; and the Veterans Administration Medical Center at West Haven.
In addition, the department offers specialized consultation in forensic
psychiatry, neuropsychological testing, psychopharmacological treatment,
community/organizational consultation, and women's health.
Several specialized treatment clinics also exist for the assessment
and management of patients with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive
disorder, schizophrenia, and alcohol and substance abuse disorders.
Individuals seeking access to services may call the Office of Care Management
at: 203-688-9907.
