Meet our Pediatric Infectious Diseases Faculty
The Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship Training
Program has been continuously funded for over
20 years by a training grant from the National Institutes of Health. The
mission of the program is to train future Infectious Diseases Pediatricians
for productive and rewarding careers in research and patient care.
Research within the Division
encompasses bench to bedside studies of major bacterial, viral, and parasitic
diseases. Members of our faculty are actively engaged in studies of basic
microbial pathogenesis, clinical and molecular epidemiology, mechanisms
of antimicrobial drug resistance, and the development of new drugs and
vaccines.
