CURING ON THE PORCH
In no other disease is a cheerful mental attitude so important to progress in the repair of the body tissues as in tuberculosis. In spite of the facial expressions, these patients are ill with this tuberculosis. How much easier it is for them to bear the burden of this handicap with the right mental attitude, than with one of pessimism and despair. This cheerful expression is in no small measure due to the pleasant environment in which they are "curing." They have all the diversions which are permissible in taking the cure. Outside their Sanatorium porch is the ever-changing kaleidoscopic picture which Nature affords in her varying moods. What an ideal opportunity for acquiring a philosophy of life and happiness! |
