HERE is a spirit of friendship and good cheer everywhere this Christmas season. Peace reigns throughout the world and in our land good health and happiness abound. Why is it that every one enjoys the Christmas-tide more than any other season of the year? Hearts are filled with joy expressed in giving gifts. Many gifts will be given and received in New Haven on Christmas day but the best gifts of all are those given throughout the year to relieve sickness and suffering and to prevent disease. Our community is well blessed with agencies of mercy, hospitals, physicians, nurses, official and non-official groups all devoting their energy to gift giving.
