The Human Investigation Committee's office hours are 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday. The office will close at 4 p.m. to allow for daily intake processing. Protocols can be dropped off in a newly installed drop box located just outside the office door at any time.

The Human Investigation Committees meet on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m.

New Protocols may be submitted to the HIC at any time, electronically or in paper hard copy. For hard copy submissions the office is open from 8:30AM - 4:00PM. There is also a drop box outside the door for after hours submission. Once submitted in either format, the protocol will be assigned to an HIC Coordinator who will complete a regulatory review, coordinating with the investigator. If staff determines that a protocol requires review by a full committee, it will be scheduled for review once the HIC regulatory review process is complete.

Hard copy renewal and amendment requests must be submitted by Tuesday at noon.

Please pick up and drop off your protocols in Room 204. Please drop off protocols after 4:00 p.m. in the drop box located outside of Room 204.

*Unless you have an HIC issued receipt for your new protocol, do not assume that it has been received or that it is scheduled for review at any meeting. We strongly encourage submissions to be made in the HIC Office at which time you will be given a receipt containing the assigned HIC protocol number and meeting date. If you chose to mail in your submission you will receive an e-mail notification/receipt containing the necessary information.
