Stolwijk Fellowship
A Fellowship has been established in honor of Professor Emeritus and former Chair of Epidemiology and Public Health, Jan A.J. Stolwijk. Each year, up to 4 fellowships of $2,000 are awarded to students completing their first full year in the Master’s Program in Public Health. These students should exhibit promise and demonstrated achievement in the areas of environmental epidemiology and/or the assessment and management of environmental risk to human health. The Stolwijk Fellowship Committee seeks applicants who exemplify Professor Stolwijk's commitment to a) exploring innovative and creative approaches to assess the impact of environmental stressors on human health and b) developing effective policies to mitigate human exposure to those stressors.
Candidates for the Stolwijk Fellowship must:
- Demonstrate experience or interest in environmental epidemiology, environmental risk assessment or risk management.
- Exhibit potential for exploring creative approaches to environmental epidemiology and environmental risk assessment and risk management.
- Achieve academic excellence.
The application deadline for this fellowship is mid-March.
