Pegboards and Puzzles

Provide opportunities to play with toys that fit together. Buy pegboards and puzzles or make your own.

Fun activities to do with children

  • Find a box with dividers and have a child fit paper towel tubes into the slots.
  • Turn a strainer upside down and let her fit pieces of spaghetti through the holes.
  • Ask her to practice fitting straws into a covered cup with a straw hole.
  • For older children try word puzzles, number puzzles and mazes by logging onto DiscoverySchool .
