We are seeking a post-doctoral associate in clinical psychology to participate in the clinical evaluation, consultation, and treatment of individuals with autism spectrum and related disorders. Clinical evaluation opportunities will involve conducting developmental, cognitive, and diagnostic assessments on toddlers through adults (both Yale & CCSN), including contributing to diagnostic conceptualizations, parent feedbacks, and multi-disciplinary report writing. Intervention opportunities will include conducting evidence-based interventions for problem behaviors (e.g., sleep, feeding, aggression, self-injury, stereotypy) and co-leading social skills groups (at CCSN), as well as behavioral training for individuals with ASD undergoing extensive neuroimaging studies (Yale). Consultation experience will include school-based consultation and program development (CCSN), as well as parent consultation and debriefing in regards to neuroimaging studies (Yale). The position also offers a comprehensive summer institute on ASD (Yale), training opportunities, case conferences, and weekly supervision at both sites, and scientific meetings and opportunities to be involved in clinical research (Yale).This position requires existing knowledge of and experience with a range of cognitive and diagnostic instruments, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Autism Diagnostic Interview, Revised (ADI-R), experience in behavior analysis, preferred experience in school consultations, flexibility in schedule (e.g., working occasional Saturdays), and the ability to travel.

To be eligible for a postdoctoral appointment, candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent from an APA Accredited program in psychology. When a candidate has completed all of the requirements for a degree, but the degree has not yet been formally conferred, the candidate may present evidence of completion of the degree, together with a statement of the date on which the degree is to be conferred. If the degree is not conferred by the projected date, the postdoctoral appointment shall be terminated.
